"Having done many hundreds of weddings it is a privilege every time to be invited to share in each couples big day. It hopefully comes across that I am one of your guests that happens to be taking the pictures.  Weddings are great fun, I try to reflect that in the photos by taking lots of candid photos of the Bride, Groom and their guests, as well as the classic shots. I like to make a family album that will last for generations as an important family document. I like to record real people, real emotions, real life, real love".

Some advice from an old dog…

Morning:
Careful with that champagne in the morning ladies, you may well last the day better with just tea, and best-men – take care of the Groom if he is eyeing up a pint before the church – it won’t help him and he will need to pee before the mass is over.

Pack up a few sandwiches/fruit and water for the journey from the church to the hotel. Then you can enjoy plenty of champagne that is coming at you during the photo shoot and hotel.

Family photos:
With nephews and nieces and small children, aunts and uncles… best done at the church. Really. It can be a real time waster and a bit stressful chasing everybody at the hotel. Also, your guests will be able to get nice pictures of you at the church.

Bridal Party:
It can be a real good idea, weather depending, to head away somewhere for a quick bottle of champagne and a sandwich with your best friends for a short break somewhere. Makes for lovely photos between the church and the hotel.

The Couple:
Each couple is different. Some couples are hugging, kissing and touching all day and some are very private about their intimacy. I let people find their own balance. Pictures of couples enjoying each others company and having a laugh together are lovely, and will resonate for years to come. Relax, be yourself, have fun with each other and it comes across in the photos.

The Hotel:

We shoot the cake first then away out to meet your friends and special members of your family. Coverage continues until you begin your meal, then I slip away, go home, download, copy and protect the images and have a shower…
