Portrait Info:

Portrait shoots are arranged by appointment either on location (in your home or a place special to you) or at my fully equipped studio. A portrait session normally lasts between half to one hour. We can do a variety of different poses and capture different images to suit your requirements. After the shoot I will give your images some lovin' in Photoshop and when they are ready I will upload them to this website for you to proof. You could also come here to my studio and select your favourite images with me. From this you can choose as many photos as you would like for printing and framing.

A great way to have lots of photos from your shoot is to have a unique and individual Portrait Photo Story Book [cick to view] made. This book comes in two sizes 10“x 8” and 13” x 11”.

Additional prints can be purchased online.

Portrait Session Advice:

Keep it simple. Avoid clothing logos, multi-coloured and heavily patterned clothes. Long sleeves tend to be more flattering on adults.

Normal make-up is fine. Avoid putting on extra make-up for the session. Bring your own hair brush (I don't have one!)

For younger children, select your appointment time for after a nap so we can get them at their best. If you choose to have the shoot at my studio feel free to bring along a bag of their favourite toys. Best to keep them relaxed by not asking them to smile for the photographer!!

If your child is not in good form on the day of your appointment, don't panic. Just call and cancel the session, a new time can be arranged free of charge.

Baby & Toddlers Photos: For baby and toddlers photos I have found that it is better to take the photos in the clients own home. Children are more relaxed in their own environment and the photos are taken with the “at home” theme.

"Lifestyle" shoot: Very popular with couples, you can be photographed on a location of your choice. It can be really nice to simply go for a walk at the sea or in the woods…

Special family celebrations: I will travel to the location of your event and photograph as required all the different families and what ever combinations you would like.

All travel is added at 50c per mile.
